I am a native of Arizona born in 1974. The Church of the Nazarene became my second home growing up in a broken family. I easily found faith in Christ and quickly responded to His call to ministry in my high school years. In my late teens I began to wrestle with injustice and the hard questions of faith. Through mentors and friends in my community I came to the resolution that Jesus is enough even without all the answers or hard times in life. I took this conviction into ministry where I had the opportunity to serve in the church I grew up in.
I met my wife, Kristan, years earlier before we ever dated. She too was raised in the Nazarene church and moved to Arizona in high school. After graduating from Point Loma she served on staff in the Spiritual Development office. Often times I would take teens to visit the school and would see her and briefly talk. In 1998 we began to correspond and after sweeping her off her feet we were married June 12, 1999. We settled in Phoenix, both were ordained and served on staff together at a great church. We have seen God move in our lives as a couple and the people we served.
During this time we prayed and tried to conceive a child but were unsuccessful for 2 years. After many lessons of trust, God blessed us with a baby girl on September 11th, 2002. Kennedy Sue is a gift from God we are most thankful for. You should see how cute she is!
Kristan and I know God's place for us is in serving His church. We long to experience God's Presence and have Him transform us, the people we pastor and the community we live in.
